"Igor is very close to becoming a hurricane," says a NHC forecaster from the latest advisory statement. Forecasters are also saying Igor now is in much more favorable conditions for greater intensification than previous estimates were showing. We could see a category 4 Igor off the coast of the Caribbean by mid-week. The track is looking good and MSW is already showing some fun surf filling in for next weekend. As you know forecasts can change but it can't hurt to be a little excited.
