Ophelia Hooked it Up

Someone said in an earlier post of mine,

"Great photos, but must point out the irony in your posting wave models and swell predictions then complaining about the crowds..."

This time I didn't say one damn thing about Ophelia and look, there were no crowds this morning.  And it's the weekend!

Okay maybe myself and Anonymous are exaggerating about my ability to create crowds but I'm glad people are reading the blog.  And seriously I had no idea and neither did any of the surf forecasters that the waves were going to be as good as they were this morning (minus the closeouts).

  1. Sweet pics!

  2. This can't be Folly Beach...

  3. Weeeeeeeeeuuuuw man that looks sweet. Of course I leave town on the only swell that is actually better in sc.........

  4. That's Folly! I was there! All I can say is, "Barrels, barrels... and oh yeah; more barrels!"

  5. Nope, ain't Folly, water is too clear. I don't believe it.

  6. The water looks almost GREEN. Where's the chocolate milk?

  7. These type of colors start showing this time of year at Folly especially if we have a light offshore. But believe it or not all the pictures are indeed from the Washout.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone.

  8. BEST photos yet, Mike. Please keep this Blog going. A few landlocked surfers over and in Georgia check it almost daily.

  9. We have some pretty drifty NE swell in the water today and it looks like it's going to stick around through early this week. Stay tuned more pics to come tomorrow.

  10. I'm sorry but it wasn't worth getting my camera soaked by the rain to take pictures of head high, 40mph, on shore waves. We must be patient.
