Congrats to Bradford Andrews (photographer) and Cuff (surfer) for getting featured in Eastern Surf Magazine's Earl Cover Story, "The Earl Stoke, Part One." I've seen a good number of photos taken at The Washout from the Earl swell and I have to say Bradfords photo of Cuff is one of the best. Lighting, angle, and overall composition is spot on. Good looks guys.

Read the full story and see all the pictures of ESM's series feature of Earl at "The Earl of Stoke, Part One"

Usually I don't edit my photos this much but I took this at the brightest part of the day and this is too good of a shack to send to the trash can. Surfer: Trevor Seckinger

I'm trying hard to convert all my photos to jpegs but my poor computer just can't handle the workload. Regularly something like this would take no time but since my external hard drive is full I've been putting all my pictures on my computer and it is taking a toll on her performance.

MacBook is in my future.

Now that Labor Day is over all of the CD's can be shipped out. I've been really busy tending to all the requests but I wanted to make sure I sent them all out today. Expect them in your mailboxes this week. Thanks again everyone and lets hope for some more waves!

VIDEO OF EARL SWELL

A video of the Earl Swell we got here at Folly Beach can be found over at ThomasBrothersBlog.com Go check it out and support their upcoming feature surf film coming out this March.

I am processing CD requests as quickly as possible. I've never received this many CD requests before and more new requests come in daily. If I don't respond right away I am most likely at work and will try to reply via iPhone.

Thank you so much everyone for making all of this possible. Folly Surf Photography killed it's last record set in December (Day After Christmas Swell) of 514 views yesterday with an astounding 3,788 views.

My poor computer is stressed out from all of the photos I have been putting on her. A full album of the day will be delayed until further notice. RAW files are huge, much bigger than JPEGS and in order to post all of the pictures on a image hosting site I need to convert all 600+ photos into JPEGS. I'll find a way.

Be sure to keep tabs on ThomasBrothersBlog for a video update of the Earl swell. Hurry up Bryant I want to see it.

I can't say enough thank youuuuu to everyone and how happy I am that the blog is finally coming together. We just need to keep getting waves!

Top Rated Shots MSW

Not one but two of my photos made the front page of MagicSeaweed.com. Those same two as of writing this post are number 1 and 2 on the Top Rated Shots section. My shots wouldn't be up there if it wasn't for you guys viewing/voting.

"Home break on the front page!!"

Thanks everyone!!!

Here are some more shots from yesterday.

I know you guys aren't going to read any of this and go straight to the pictures so I'll wait on my Fiona forecast update. Right now I am going through all of the photos still but I have a good idea what I want to go to mags and what I want to go on the blog. It is going to take me a long time to convert all of the pictures I took yesterday into JPEGS so I can post them on Flickr or other image host site. So for now I am going to try and post as many pics of as many different people as I can.

Instead of just publishing the post once I have all the photos uploaded to blogger I am going to frequently publish this post. Don't freak if you only see like three photos. Throughout the day more and more photos will show up.

I have to eat sometime...
All photos taken at The Washout unless otherwise specified.
Enjoy

It's time to go to work and ship the lens back to it's home over in California :( Thanks BorrowLenses!

More shots will go up tonight after work.

Email me if you see yourself so I can identify you or if you'd like to purchase a CD. Some above photos may be going to magazines.

No Words

Early morning Washout before it blew up in size (maybe the pier)

It was epic today. I felt like I was on vacation I was so happy. The conditions were rock solid all day long and you really got to practice your barrel riding.

When it started to blow up

You probably saw me, and 50 other photographers out there today. I'm just going through all of the photos from today and yesterday. Later tonight I'll probably have a few shots up. But all of the good shots are going to magazines.

Lots of these today

It's a long story...

Over 600 new photos are on my computer from the past two days. The ones that are not going to magazines I will put up here or I might do the Flickr thing again. If any of you guys see yourself and would like a cd of your photos just email me. I'm hoping to have the best photos of all the different people I took pics of up here on the blog soon.

K blown up now ~1pm

Tomorrow morning should be good, if you're not beat from today.

Wednesday 9/01/10 Below

Wednesday was a lot of fun also like I said in my previous post. First I'll post some landscape "feel for the conditions" type photos and then after I go through all the action shots I will post them.

Earl's Assault Begins

Sure there were a few neck breaking closeouts today but I got some of the longest rides I've ever got here at Folly. Many of you saw me out there today taking pictures this AM. I'm at work until 11 tonight so don't stay up waiting for pics to appear. Shots will be going to Eastern Surf Magazine, Local Sessions, and here on the blog probably by Thursday evening.

For tomorrow I'll be shooting from dawn until it gets too bright and then again in the afternoon. And I wouldn't go North for this one. The Outer Banks are currently under a Hurricane Warning.

Update via iPhone.
